Chickenpox vaccine for kids

From January 2026, the chickenpox vaccine is now part of the routine childhood vaccination programme. It is replacing the MMR vaccine and will be offered as a combined MMRV vaccine at 12 and 18 months, protecting young children from measles, mumps, rubella and chickenpox.

Flu and COVID vaccinations

Eligible people who have not received their flu, COVID-19 or RSV vaccinations this winter can now access them at special walk-in clinics offered by the Cardiff Health Board.
